Fire Damage in Commercial Electrical Room

There was a small plastics fire in the electrical room of a large commercial building in Jersey City. The damage from the actual flames was very minor but the room was engulfed in smoke which left a residue on all surfaces. The walls and floor of the room were concrete so materials could not be removed and had to be cleaned. We used a chem sponge to remove heavy soot as to not further embed it into the porous material. We then cleaned the walls with a solution that included a deodorizer to remove any lingering odor. Once we finished you would never know a fire had occurred.
