Storm Damage in Spring Lake, NJ

If you live in the northeast part of the country you are very familiar with our nor'easters. If you are not familiar, they are powerful storms whose winds come from the north east and are accompanied by strong winds. We at SERVPRO of Piscataway are always prepared when these powerful storms are approaching. One of these storms is what caused this house in Spring Lake NJ, at the "Jersey Shore", to sustain flooding of several feet in their home. When houses flood from ground water it typically also includes mud and debris which causes an even larger mess than if it were water alone. These homeowners were very grateful we had the experience to complete the clean-up and insure all surfaces were disinfected as ground water has great potential to be contaminated.
